FAFSA
Each year college costs continue to rise both at private and public institutions. The two main methods of funding college costs are federal financial aid and scholarships. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available for families to file on October 1. The government will use prior tax information to calculate the need based federal formula. The information needed to file FAFSA can be found on the Checklist of What You Need to Fill Out FAFSA.
To get a headstart on estimating your potential financial aid the FAFSA4caster may be helpful.
