NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Attention Future Teachers, our next Educators Rising Club meeting will be Wednesday Sept 26 in C102.  Please come right after school.  We have 2 events we would like to discuss and need your input.  See Mrs. Ginder with any questions.

ONGOING ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Juniors:  Are you taking the PSAT/NMSQT?  If so, please remember to stop in the Assessment Center (G150) or the Student Services Office to get your Student Guide.  Fight On!
  2. Our next BGHS DECA will be on Wednesday, September 26 before school at 7:45 am in the theater and after school at 3:20 pm in the Community Room. Come ready to sign up for your competitive event and bring your chapter dues in the amount of $35. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Roberts in room C106.
  3. The voter registration drive tomorrow during the lunch periods. All you need is a Drivers License and your School ID to get registered.  If you are a naturalized citizen, you need to know where and when you were naturalized.  If you are a US citizen and you will be 18 years old by November 6, you need to get registered to vote so that you can participate in our democracy!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. The first Science Olympiad Meeting of the year is this Thursday, September 20, after school, in Room A237.  This meeting is for new members!  If you are interested in science, and want to learn more about Science Olympiad, please join us!
  2. Over the weekend, BG's Model United Nations club attended SMUNC, an annual conference hosted at Stevenson.  Congratulations to Aadam Suleman for winning Honorable Mention for his portrayal of Russia in the World Health Organization.  If you are still interested in becoming a member, please join us this Thursday in the BGenius Lab after school or contact Ms. Shin-Cooper with any questions.
  3. Apple is releasing its newest software update for the iPad called iOS 12. At this time please DO NOT update your iPad until we have fully tested the new operating system. Updating to the newest system can cause incompatibility with Apps  and can also lead to a loss of data. We will announce when it is safe for all users to update.

  1. Are you interested in learning about the world you live in?  Come to Multicultural Club and get to know the many different cultures we have right here at BG!  Meet new friends as we learn about each other and our exciting cultures.  Our meeting is today at 3:15 in room D206.  See Ms. Manos in the World Language/ELL department with any questions.
  2. Do you want to help collect food donations? If so, Interact is still looking for a few volunteers for Project Isaiah. The event is today from 5:30-7:00 pm here at BG.  If interested, sign up with Ms. Sang in the Student Services Department.
  3. Speech team will have an open meeting tomorrow. Anyone interested in learning more about the Speech team should attend. We have solo and duet acting, poetry and prose reading, persuasive and informative speaking, and more! Please come meet the Speech team today from 3:20 - 4:10 in room A186. Contact Mr. Wagner for more information.
  4. Come join LASO at our first event today at 3:30 in the College Career Center with music, food, loteria and then go to own BG soccer game vs. Prospect. All students are welcome, don't miss out!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS‚Äč

  1. Seniors: it's time to "leave your mark."  The Senior Class Board want all Seniors to come down to the Cafeteria Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25 to stamp and sign their hand print.  We will be hanging the boards in the Senior hallway to display for the remainder of the year.  You can come down before school starting at 7:30 or during your lunch period.  Don't forget to be apart of this awesome opportunity!
  2. There will be a voter registration drive on Tuesday, September 25 during the lunch periods. All you need is a Drivers License and your School ID to get registered.  If you are a naturalized citizen, you need to know where and when you were naturalized.  If you are a US citizen and you will be 18 years old by November 6, you need to get registered to vote so that you can participate in our democracy!
  3. ELEVATE Members:  We will have a meeting TOMORROW Friday, September 21 in the Community Room at 7:30 am and in room A205 at 3:15 pm.  We are finalizing presentations for Thomas Middle School for the morning of September 27.  If you are intending to participate in our trip to Thomas - you should attend one of those initial meetings.  If you have questions see Mr Myers or Mr North.
