NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. The Variety Show is the exclusive stage event at BG that is produced by students for students.  Student Council currently has over ten acts that have committed, but we continue to look for more!  If you have an idea--perhaps Something Amazing, Something Funny, Something Weird, or something in Between--contact Mrs. Weir or Mr. Schram in Math/Science, Mr. Mahlman in the Test Make-Up Center, Student Council Vice President Amar Buhmanzul, or scan the QR code on our flyers throughout the school.  Sign up today!
  2. Attention all DECA members, our next MANDATORY meeting is Wednesday, January 23 at 7:45 am in the Theater or 3:20 pm in the Community Room.  All members must attend.  Regional Competition logistics will be discussed.  Any questions see Mrs. Roberts or Mrs. Zaba in C106.

ONGOING ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. And now, a special announcement from the newest member of BG's family:  the BGenius fish!  "Hi! I was originally born in Vietnam and just moved to BGHS recently. I am what is known commonly as a Betta (pronounced “Beh-tuh”) fish, but Mr. Schram says I am even more special than that because I am what is known as a “Koi Betta” based on my color pattern. But really, I just look at myself as a regular kind of fish just trying to do my best at Buffalo Grove High School. Right now though, I still don’t have a name, so, the Aquarium Club and the BGenius Lab are sponsoring a Naming Contest for me!  Please submit your vote by 3:10 PM on Wednesday, January 23. Scan the QR code on the signs to vote. The Aquarium Club will select their favorite 5 names, and then we will have a school-wide vote. The winning name will be announced soon after, and the student who came up with the design will win a giftcard to Starbucks!
  2. Looking for a Job? Stop by the College & Career Center to check job postings.  Learn about Internships and upcoming Career Treks. Right outside the center,  you can find the Job Board that list jobs openings, internships info and Career Treks.  If you have any questions feel free to stop in to speak with the Career Advisor.
  3. SAT Test Prep registration is open now.  More information and registration link can be found on the BG website.  The cost is $125. Be sure to sign up early to take advantage of this great program.  See the Assessment Center room G150 for more information.

Do you have any t-shirts that you don't wear anymore and want to get rid of?  If so, Interact will take them to make tug toys for our BG-Gives Back Quarter 3 event happening this Monday, January 21.  One t-shirt makes one tug toy.  The donation box is located right outside the gym across from Door 7 where you enter and exit the school.  All dog toys will be donated to local animal shelters so please consider helping!
