NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Saturday School is TODAY!  YES!  On a Tuesday!  If you need to catch up on missing work, tests and quizzes, or just need a quiet place to study.....then come to TUESDAY School!  Today, after school, from 3:15-5:45  in the library.  Teachers and tutors will be available!  Catch the athletic bus home afterwards!
  2. There will be an Open Gym for all softball players who are not in a winter sport today and tomorrow from 3:30-5:30. Meet outside the Feld House.
  3. Please consider supporting the Junior Class Board with Prom by eating at Portillos this Wednesday, February 21!  Come between the hours of 5:00 and 9:00 with a picture of the flyer that is hung around the school!  Thanks and happy eating!
  4. Attention Students interested in trying our for Baseball:  There will be a brief meeting in the Cafeteria, Wednesday, February 21 right after school.  If you are unable to attend, please see coach Miller.
  5. Congratulations to Izabella Janik whose poetry is being published in Teen Ink Magazine! Way to go, Izabella!
  6. This past weekend the boys swimming and diving team competed at Stevenson High School in the IHSA sectional meet.  Please congratulate Daniel Verdico who qualified for the state meet in the 500 yard freestyle and Ben Goldberg who qualified in diving.  Also, big congrats to the 400 free relay team of Andy Gontko, Kevin Carr, Kenny Velu and Daniel Verdico who set a new school record. 
  7. Congratulations to Rebecca Howard for her 23rd place finish out of 160 at the Girls State Bowling Tournament this past weekend.  Rebecca started day two in 61st place and fought hard all the way.  She finished her afternoon series by rolling a 256 game and a 667 series.  Thank you to all that came out to support her.
  8. Congratulations to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team on finishing 4th at the Masonic Sectional Tournament over the weekend!  The team was led by seniors Tim Cooper, Saru Garg, & Evan Cochrane.  Great job and good luck at regionals!!

Are you interested in visiting Venice, Florence, and Rome in Italy for Spring Break 2019?  If so, come to the informational meeting tomorrow at 7:00 PM in the Faculty Lounge.  If you would like more information before the meeting, please email or find Mr. Duffer in the Social Science division.  This trip is limited to the first 25 students to register.
  2. Boys Water Polo meeting and free play after school today. All boys interested in Water Polo this spring should attend.  No experience needed.  Come out and try water polo Tuesday after school. If you have any questions see Coach Kopecky or Coach Cooney in the Math Science area.

Do you need to catch up on missing work, tests and quizzes, or just need a quiet place to study?  If so, come to "Saturday", NO WAIT, TUESDAY School!  Yes ,you heard correctly, this time, it will be on a TUESDAY!  This Tuesday,  February 20, after school from 3:15-5:45 in the Library.  Teachers and tutors will be available!  Catch the athletic bus home afterwards!
  2. Boys Water Polo meeting and free play after school Tuesday. All boys interested in Water Polo this spring should attend.  No experience needed.  Come out and try water polo Tuesday after school. If you have any questions see Coach Kopecky or Coach Cooney in the Math Science area.
  3. Attention Badminton Players:  There is a CHANGE for the Badminton Open Play scheduled for this Friday.  The time has been switched to 6:00 to 8:00 at night.  See Coach V in Room A121 with questions.  Enjoy your day off.
