NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Burgers, pizza, soup, salads and of course Italian Beef!  This month's Dine & Donate fundraiser supporting District 214's robotics team, Wildstang, is an ALL DAY event at Buona Beef in Rolling Meadows Tuesday, November 13th.  Just mention Wildstang robotics and the team receives a 20% donation.  Bring your friends, bring your family, and bring your appetite!  See you there!
  2. Club photo day will be held on Friday, November 16th in the theater.  Check with your advisor to see when you will be getting your picture taken.

ONGOING ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Students who drive to school:  A friendly reminder to park only in the white lines.  We have had several students parking in the yellow lines.  The yellow lined spaces are for Staff only.  Please park between white lines.   Stickers are going to be issued, if it continues to be a problem, you run the risk of being towed.
  2. Interact teamed up with Operation Gratitude for our BG Gives Back Quarter 2 event. In honor of Veterans Day, we are challenging the students of Buffalo Grove High School to make 200 paracord bracelets for our active troops. We will be making bracelets in the library on Monday, November 12 during your lunch period. Each bracelet takes about 15 minutes to make. Check your email to sign up today!

  3. Do you enjoy a good mystery?  Start reading, I Am Still Alive by Kate Marshall.  Jess is alone and stranded in the Canadian wilderness.  Her father is murdered and she knows who did it. She will survive. She has to. She knows who killed her father…and she wants revenge. Join the Book Club discussion about this novel on December 6.  Treats will be provided.
  4. Congratulations to the BGHS Chess team for winning their 7th match this year against Hersey. Nathan Finkelshteyn, Aleks Eliferenko , Karthi Sarangan and Justyn Wytmar all had great wins.
  5. The BGHS Orchestras will be selling Krispy Kreme donuts in the Main Foyer after school on Wednesday, November 14.  Donuts are just $1 each and are being brought in specially from Krispy Kreme.  Support the musicians of the BGHS Orchestras and purchase a donut after school on Wednesday!

  1. The next Saturday School is this week!  Saturday November 10.  If you need a quiet place to make up any missing assignments, make up any tests and quizzes, or get extra help, come to the library this Saturday.  Saturday School runs from 8:30-11:00 am.  Tutors will be available.
  2. Attention Fall Athletes:  Come celebrate the amazing athletic success of the fall campaign tonight at 7pm in the Gym.
  3. Reminder to all new NHS inductees.  There is a mandatory meeting in the theater on Friday, November 9 at 3:15 pm.  The Induction Ceremony will follow later that evening at 6:45 pm in the Theater.
