NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. You've seen football, soccer, cheer, dance, and track, but have you seen Speech?The Speech team will be hosting a showcase and awards ceremony this Sunday, April 29 in the Theater starting at 3:00.  Come see what Speech is all about!  Speech team members should attend practice this Tuesday and Thursday in preparation.
  2. All Freshman will participate in Core with your counselor during Human Geography either Wednesday or Friday.  If you have Human Geo periods 3, 4, 7, 8, you should report to the Theater on Wednesday with your iPAD.  If you have Human Geo periods 1, 2, 5, 6, you should report to the Theater on Friday with your iPad.  Attendance will be taken. 
  3. Due the library remodeling that will take place this summer, library books must be turned in by Friday April 27.
  4. Wednesday, May 2nd is our last Harbor Day and we want ALL students and staff to wear any tie-dye shirt they have.  If you do not have a tie-dye shirt, do not worry.  On Wednesday and Friday this week, there will be an opportunity to tie dye a shirt.  During your lunch hour, bring a t-shirt to the Cafeteria.  If you need a shirt to tie-dye, we have extra BG Gives Back shirts from last year that you can have to tie-dye.  This is an opportunity to continue to show that we are Stronger Together!

WEDNESDAY  4/25/18

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. CoEd Cheerleading tryouts will be taking place on Monday, April 30th and Tuesday, May 1 beginning at 6:00pm in the Fieldhouse. Tryouts are open to guys and girls and experience is not necessary.  Be sure to pick up and fill out a tryout packet from the Main Office before tryouts begin on Monday.

  3. The non-school sponsored Bible study will be having its annual rally today during all lunch periods in the Community Room. There will be free pizza and a special guest speaker. All are welcome!

  5. Applications are now open to become a Bison Advisory Mentor for next year.  This amazing club is fun, helpful, and looks great on college applications.  It requires very little of your time, and is a great way to give back to the BGHS community.  If you are planning on one day having a career as a teacher, lawyer or working in the business field, this is definitely the club for you.   Applications are at http://www.tinyurl.com/ApplyForBAM.  See Mr. Linhart with questions.

THURSDAY 4/26/18

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Interested in trying out for Co-Ed Cheerleading?  Come to the Open Gym taking place today in the Field House from 5:30-7pm.  New and experienced guys and girls are  welcome.
  2. Tomorrow is The Day of Silence, a national, student-led event to draw attention to the silencing effects of anti-LGBTQ violence, harassment, and bullying. Allies should stop by the GSA's table in the Cafeteria today during lunch periods for more information.
  3. The Class of 2018 is invited to attend Senior Day on Thursday, May 24th.  This special day includes a senior breakfast, slide show, and a trip to Main Event in Hoffman Estates.  Main Event Entertainment is a great place to spend time with your friends before graduation, as it includes tons of fun activities! Transportation and lunch is also included. Tickets are $20/person and will be on sale April 30 through May 4 in the Cafeteria during lunch hours.

  1. Congratulations to Lucie Greene, whose poem won 3rd place in the Harper College Community Writing Contest.  Way to go, Lucie!
