Parent Groups

Bison Boosters (Purpose)

To unify and strengthen public awareness and support of the athletic programs at Buffalo Grove High School.

To promote good sportsmanship for the welfare of all athletes.

To promote goodwill and to assist visiting competitors, coaches and spectators.

To encourage spectators to act in a courteous and enthusiastic manner while attending sporting events.

To provide assistance with fund raising projects to embellish facilities and/or equipment above and beyond the capabilities of established administration budgets.

To establish a scholarship fund and award a monetary scholarship annually to an outstanding boy(s) and girl(s) as determined by the established criteria. Scholarship fund criteria shall be established by Buffalo Grove High School and the Boosters Board of Directors.

Buffalo Grove Instrumental Association (BGIA)

This site provides information on BGIA events, fund raiser schedules, and policies. All families who have students in Buffalo Grove bands are members of the BGIA. There is no membership fee. The BGIA supports the band program by: providing communication on band activities to the families, arranging fund raisers for the band students for significant band activities, and performing various activities as requested by the band director such as providing assistance at marching band events.

Buffalo Grove Parent Association (BGPA)

BGPA, is a group of volunteer parents committed to contributing to the educational programs for all students and aiding in all aspects of the students’ lives at Buffalo Grove High School.?The BGPA generally meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Buffalo Grove High School Community Room to discuss old and new business and to interact with the school administrators.??The BGPA consists of the Executive Board, Chairpersons of Standing Committees and Class Representatives. The Executive Board is made up of a President/Co-presidents, a Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and the Principal of BG. To be eligible for the position of President/Co-President, a person must have served as a member of the BGPA Board within the last three (3) years or served at least one full term as an Executive Board member of a feeder school’s PTA/PTO Board. To be eligible for the other officer positions, a person must have served as a member of the BGPA Board within the last three (3) years, held that office in a feeder school or served as a feeder school President. There are numerous committee positions on the Parent Association Board. Any BGPA member is encouraged to serve on a standing committee.
