Rolling Meadows educators Ann Syversen Bullis and Denise Chapman, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of the Arlington Heights-Mount Prospect-Buffalo Grove Area, orchestrated a voter registration drive in eight High School District 214 schools on September 26.

During the drive, which fell on National Voter Registration Day, more than 200 District 214 students registered to vote in advance of this year's municipal and statewide elections. The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, hosted more than 300 voters registrations drive across the country.

Every year millions of Americans don't claim their right to vote because they miss a deadline, move, change names or don't know how to register in the first place, according to the League of Women Voters.
