NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Buffalo Grove High School is proud to announce the first ever Little Bison Fashion Show! The show will take place on Wednesday, December 7 in the Theater during 4th and 5th hour.  Come down to watch the Little Bison model their new, personally designed and custom-fit pajamas.
  2. District 214 is proud to announce a new district-wide course offering called D214 Studio.  D214 Studio is a class focusing on real-world industry experiences for students interested in a career in communications, media, and/or journalism.  This course will teach the foundations to these career choices while applying their knowledge in the field, with professionals, to create and produce a television series.  The class begins second semester.  For more information or to apply to be a part of this program, check out the website at d214studio.org.  Applications are being accepted now so don’t be late! 
  3. The Dance Mini Concert is Friday December 9 during all Lunch hours in the Gym.  The Showcase will start 15 minutes into each hour so there is time to eat lunch before the show.  Please do not bring any food or drink into the Gym.  Come see the show and support all the PE/Dance classes and Orchesis perform.  Any questions see Ms. Carrison.
  4. Ou​r next​ Saturday School of the semester is this Saturday, December 10!  This is a great opportunity to access the BG staff and resources to help bring your grades up.  Bring a friend and study - if you have a question, we can help!   Saturday School runs from 8:30 to 11:00 am in the BGHS library.  Please use Entrance #1 by the Theater.  See your teacher if you would like to have work or make-up tests left for you.   1. There will be an open gym for Boys Gymnastics on Wednesday, December 7 after school in the Gymnastics Balcony.  All are welcome.
  2. Attention Juniors and Seniors:  A College Representative from Robert Morris University is visiting Buffalo Grove High School today during 7th period.  Students who want to attend  this visit should pick up a College Representative Visit Pass in the College and Career Center, fill it out and bring it to the CCC at the time of the visit.  Questions?  Come to the College and Career Center!
  3. Are you interested in traveling to Madrid, Paris and the Alps with your friends during spring break of 2018?  The trip includes meals, lodging, sites, transportation, and more.  Spring break of 2016 included 51 BG students.  This trip is limited to the first 30 who register.  There will be an informational meeting for parents and students on December 15th at 7:00 PM in the Community Room.  See Mr. Duffer in the Social Science area with questions.
  4. Do you have any special or unknown talents?  Can you do anything that would entertain your peers?  If so, you should audition for the 2017 BGHS Variety Show! Auditions will be held on Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9 in the Choir Room.  In order to audition, you must sign up for an audition time slot in the Main Office before the end of the day on Wednesday, December 7.  Please contact either Mr. Mahlman or Mr. Schram with any questions.

  1. The Girls Bowling team rolled over Conant last night on all levels. Leading the charge for the Bison was Jessica Soskich with a 666 series. Rebecca Herrera and Caitlin Howard each rolled 200 games. Fight On!
  2. There will be an Elevate meeting today after school in the Faculty lounge for planing fifth quarter events.  Looking forward to seeing you there!
  3. It’s not too late. YOU can still be part of Ginger-Build 2016! Register in the Cafeteria during lunch periods. Then join us this Thursday at 6pm to see who can build the best gingerbread house. Top 3 win prizes as well as music, holiday fun, door prizes and pictures with Santa. SEE YOU THERE!!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Students enrolled in the Teacher Interim Program On and Off Campus, must drop off your portfolios before or on Wednesday, December 14 to the Student Services office. A designated bin will be there to drop off your portfolios. No late portfolios will be accepted. 
  2. Need help finding and completing scholarships?  Come to the College Career Center on Wednesday, December 14 during the first half of your lunch period and Mrs. Fox will show you where to search for scholarships and give you tips on how to complete scholarship applications.
  3.
