2012 Summer Reading Program
All incoming Freshmen and current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will be participating in the BGHS Summer Reading Program, and all students will be assessed on their summer reading book within the first two weeks of school in the fall. Students can choose a title based on their current year in school and from several different genres, including young-adult, non-fiction, suspense, classic literature, and best sellers.
DIRECTIONS: Click on the appropriate link on the left hand side of this page to browse through the summer reading directions and selections for your class. For information purposes only, each book title is linked to the Amazon.com description of the book.
(District 214 has no agreement or relationship with Amazon.com, and you may feel free to buy your book from any source, or borrow your book from a local library.) Once you have picked a book, it is your responsibility to obtain it and read it over the summer.
It is important to complete the reading assignment before the start of school, and we encourage you to make this a family reading event this summer.
