High School District 214 is committed to a staff development program that meets the needs of the community, district, schools, and staff it serves. The staff development program aims to provide opportunities for all staff members to plan and actively participate in a variety of experiences that will lead to continued professional and personal development resulting in self-renewing educational excellence.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT DEFINITION

Staff development is a continuing process through which staff members grow professionally and personally. The school district's ultimate goal is to promote increased student learning by providing positive school climates, effective classroom instruction and support.

The staff development program consists of programs, services, and resources provided by the school district to help accomplish this goal.

The Buffalo Grove High School staff development committee meets quarterly. Anyone is welcome to attend and suggestions are encouraged.
