Members of the Student Services Division meet weekly for academic screenings. The purpose of academic screenings is for professionals from multiple disciplines to discuss how to best serve the needs of specific regular education students. Academic screenings are held weekly on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m.

Counselors generally refer students for academic screening if they are failing two or more classes or are exhibiting other problems that are impacting school adjustment. Students who are referred should have previously been receiving RTI interventions through the SST teams.

 

Teachers are welcome to refer students for academic screening. Please see the student's counselor if you would like to refer a student for academic screening.
