Dear Parents/Guardians:

This year’s parent-teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 8, from 5 - 9 p.m.  This is a great opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers for a ten-minute conference.

You can schedule appointments online from Monday, October 29, at 6 p.m. through Friday, November 2, at 6 p.m.  This opportunity is available at any time of day or night, and I have been assured that as many as 6,000 families could schedule simultaneously without overloading the system. It will not be possible to meet with every teacher.  Please select the top three teachers you must see when scheduling your conferences.  Keep in mind that, in some instances, ten-minute conferences are not adequate.  If you find yourself in that situation, you may make an appointment with that teacher for a follow-up conference or a phone conference.  If one of the teachers has a full schedule, you may contact the teacher through e-mail or telephone and arrange a time to talk about your child’s progress in a particular class. 

In order to assist you, we have included online scheduling instructions on the reverse side of this letter.  If you are not able to schedule the conferences online, your child may come to the Library/Technology Center during school and schedule your appointments for the evening.  He/she will need to bring the instruction sheet with your unique pass code.  As in the past, sign-up sheets will be posted outside teachers’ rooms.  Parents may add their names to the list that evening if time slots are available. A listing of teachers’ room assignments and maps of the building will be available in the Student Services office and in the Main Foyer the night of the conferences.

I sincerely hope you will take advantage of this opportunity as we continue to work toward improved student achievement through a strong parent-teacher partnership.  I look forward to seeing you on the evening of November 8th.

  Log in using your “Students ID” and “Password”

You must click on the “LOG IN” button with the mouse or the “ENTER” key to proceed.

You will be prompted to change your password immediately. Change your password and write it down in a safe place.  Please add your email address on this screen if you would like the option of having your conference schedule emailed to you.  You will not have the opportunity to add this information later.

Click on  “View Scheduler” at the bottom of the Web page.

The scheduling page will contain the classes your child is enrolled in. Click on any of the “Teachers” name. The teacher and course will become highlighted in yellow.

After selecting the teacher/course, click on “Show Availability.”

The teacher’s available conference times will be listed in the “Time Slots” column. Click on an available “Time Slot” and press “Submit.”  Once you hit the “Submit” button the scheduled conference time cannot be altered.

Continue scheduling the remaining courses:
           •  Allow yourself time to walk from one class to another.
           • To view times you have scheduled, click on “<<Main Section.”

When you are finished scheduling, click on “Print Conferences” to print a schedule or “Email Conferences” to have a schedule emailed. Click on “<< Main Section” to return to the main screen.

Confirm that you have scheduled all classes by looking over the “Conferences Scheduled” section.

Click “Log Off” to exit the scheduling screen.
