Continue with regular school/security. A low risk of terrorists attacks.

| Threat Condition Blue - Guarded |
Threats have been received that do not warrant actions beyond normal notifications or placing resources on a heightened alert. Supervisors should:
- Review applicable emergency plans and crisis plans
- Ensure school vehicles remain secured while parked
Check equipment for operational readiness.

| Threat Condition Yellow - Elevated |
Intelligence or an articulated threat indicates a potential for a terrorist incident. However, this threat has not yet been assessed as credible. A significant risk of terrorist attacks is present. Supervisors should:
- Ensure that all applicable items in Threat Condition Blue have been initiated or completed plus,
- Remind all personnel to be suspicious and inquisitive while maintaining a heightened awareness of people, vehicles, and activities,
- Check all deliveries to the facility.

Threat Condition Orange - High
|
A threat assessment indicates that the potential threat is credible, and confirms the involvement of WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) in the developing terrorist incident. Supervisors should:
- Ensure compliance to all prior threat levels is completed, plus
- Identify field trips, student trips, or tours. Require supervision staff to carry a cell phone and list the phone number on the field trip permission form. Tour sponsors meet with administration to determine contingency plans.
- Deliveries to the building must be checked to ensure person receiving package is an employee.
- Identify any planned school events where a large attendance is expected. Operations will consult with the Assistant Principal of Student Activities regarding contingency plans, security awareness, site accessibility, and control. Consider recommendations to cancel the event if warranted by the current situation.
- Limit access points to the school to an absolute minimum and strictly enforce entry control procedures.
- Ensure that security increases security around critical infrastructure facilities including interior and exterior of building, as well as heating and ventilation system, for suspicious packages or persons.

Threat Condition Red - Severe
|
A WMD terrorism event has occurred which requires am immediate process to identify, acquire, and plan the use of federal and state resources in response to limited or major consequences of a terrorist use or employment of WMD. There is a severe risk of further attacks. Supervisors should:
- Ensure all previous threat level requirements have been met.
- Meet with local law enforcement to determine extent of threat, their response, and their recommendations for BGHS.
- Meet with administrative team to review protocols. Protocols may include: restricted open campus, cancellations of field trips, cancellations of co-curricular events, parking restrictions and searches of suspicious items.
- Control access and implement positive identification of all personnel - no exceptions.
- Ensure frequent checks of all critical facilities and begin spot checks of lower risk targets.
