Mariah McVay Bowls a Perfect 300 Game
On January 27th at Wood Dale Bowl, Mariah McVay did something that only 13 other girls in IHSA history have ever done, and the first bowler in Buffalo Grove school history has ever accomplish, roll a perfect game. In a non-conference meet against Fenton, Mariah rolled her 300 in the first game and finished with a 741 series.

Senior Girls and Their Mothers Invited to Self-Defense Presentation
All District 214 female staff, senior girls, and their mothers are invited to attend a 90-minute self-defense presentation on Thursday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the Forest View Educational Center. Girls Fight Back is a district-wide program that begins with the story of Rolling Meadows High School graduate Shannon McNamara’s life and untimely death. In 2001, Shannon was murdered while a student at Eastern Illinois University. Inspired by her, Shannon's friend started Girls Fight Back in her honor.

BGPA Scholarship Program
The Buffalo Grove High School Parent Association has established a scholarship program to recognize and honor well rounded students who have made the most of their high school years. The number of scholarships awarded each year and their amounts may vary due to the available funds from the B.G.P.A. treasury and the number of the applicants. Scholarship winner(s) will be announced at the Senior Awards Assembly in May.
